Selection of Candidates for Reader Ministry 2007
22 February 2007

Clergy who have potential candidates should normally contact the Initial Training Secretary, Juliet Bakker, 5 Chestnut Grove, Coleshill, Birmingham B46 1AD, e-mail: julietbakker@btconnect.com.  From 1st to  21st March only, application packs may be obtained from Andrea Stevens a.stevens@birmingham.anglican.org Tel: 0121-426-0429 at the Diocesan Office.  Completed returns should continue to be sent to the Initial Training Secretary during this time.

Clergy are reminded that in nominating a candidate they are making a commitment to support the candidate both during training and upon licensing.  It is not possible to license as Reader to a parish during an interregnum;  similarly, the training course requires a partnership with the incumbent who assists in the nurture, growth and development during the training process.  The Warden for Readers’ Ministry John Nightingale is available for consultation on 0121 559 1251.
