LOVE LIFE LIVE LENT LIFTS OFF Staff at the Birmingham Diocesan Office in Harborne have been delighted by the response to Love Life Live Lent 2 Be Good Neighbours. Already more than 50 people have signed up to visit a place of worship and about the same number of people sent Purim cards to the Diocese which were distributed to a synagogue. Children in the Diocese have been busy making Get Well Cards for wounded service personnel and making friendship bracelets for child asylum seekers. The cards will be delivered to the Military ward at Selly Oak hospital along with those sent by adults on the Love Life Live Lent programme.
On March 19th, organisers were thrilled that extra supporters joined the vigil for Asylum seekers outside Birmingham Cathedral - the vigil is held on every other Monday from 5pm to 6pm.
St Matthew's School in Nechells has embraced the initiative whole heartedly holding a sleepover in school for Action 26 - 'Sleep out' in a sleeping bag on your bedroom floor. And some 210 pupils from the school will be visiting a place of worship after Easter.
Anyone wanting to join the Love Life Live Lent initiative can sign up for free texts. Click here for more information
